Sales Agronomist – Humboldt, SK

We are looking for a Sales Agronomist to support the Humboldt retail location.  This role will be focused on providing the best Agronomic knowledge and experience in the business. We are looking for individuals who want to ensure that their customers are provided with the products and knowledge to make their farm as successful as possible. Principal Accountabilities

  • Working with customers to meet all their crop input needs on their farm.
  • Achieving sales targets of all product lines through active account maintenance.
  • Create and maintain a rigorous weekly call plan designed to meet sales objectives and customer interaction frequency targets.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding and business plan with all customers within your assigned geography.
  • Continuously increasing knowledge of Agriculture, Agronomy and AgraCity’s products.

Required Education and Experience

  • Sc minimum in Agronomy, Ag Business, Ag Econ, Soil Science, etc
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a sales agronomist in Canada
  • Expertise in all Western Canadian crops
  • Experience with pest identification and management strategies
  • Ability to analyze soil samples and provide fertility recommendations.
  • Experience in multiple areas in Canada would be an asset
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as listening skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong drive to achieve results
  • Possess a Canadian Driver’s License
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
