AgraCity Business Representative for southern Manitoba

What do you do with AgraCity?

I work closely with growers in my region, with the goal of providing affordable high-quality generic crop protection products and crop nutrition products, as well as Digital Agronomy

Where do you live?

I live in Brandon, Manitoba,  “The Wheat City” Brandon has a population around 50,000 and is the agriculture hub for western Manitoba and SE Saskatchewan.

What is the territory that you cover?

I cover the territory of southern Manitoba,  It stretches from the very SE corner of Saskatchewan, to the Red river valley directly south of Winnipeg.

What do you like about working with AgraCity?  

It’s exciting to be a part of such a rapidly growing company, and very rewarding to watch the growers that I helped succeed.  With all the new products and the cutting-edge Digital Agronomy, I feel that I couldn’t be with a more progressive industry leading company.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up on a Dairy farm near Alameda, Saskatchewan. In 1992 our family moved to Brandon, Manitoba to continue farming.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing farmers in western Canada today?

Farm Finances.  The higher costs of everything, combined with unstable markets, and increasingly unpredictable weather have really challenged the farms in my territory.

What hobbies do you have when you are not working?

I play hockey and enjoy snowmobiling;  you will find me “fabricating ” in my workshop during winters months. In the summer I really enjoy cooking, fishing, golfing and farming.

What else would you like AgraCity customers to know about you?

Before I started with AgraCity, I was lucky to have previous work experience and travel. Apart from farming,  I was a business owner/entrepreneur for 10 years based out of Calgary Alberta.  During that time, I was lucky enough to work and train people in many countries around the globe including, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Peru, Dubai, Argentina, Costa Rica and throughout the USA and Canada.
